Sengam accident.. Govt bus and lorry carrying vegetables collided head on.. 3 killed

Sengam: Three people were killed in an accident where a government bus and a lorry carrying vegetables collided near Sengam. More than 30 people were injured.

A government bus was coming from Chidambaram towards Bangalore in Gandhinagar area next to Sengat in Thiruvannamalai district. Similarly, a lorry carrying vegetables from Bangalore to Tiruvannamalai was coming in front.

Then the two vehicles collided head-on, killing the bus driver and the loadman in the lorry. More than 30 people traveling in the government bus were seriously injured. They have been admitted to Sengam Government Hospital for treatment. Another car following the government bus also met with an accident. The Sengam police have registered a case and are investigating. Police are examining the CCTV footage to determine how the accident took place. Similarly, they are interrogating the people who were in the neighborhood and those who were traveling in the bus.

Traffic was disrupted for some time due to the accident. The bodies of the deceased have been kept at the government hospital. This tragic accident which took place early in the morning has caused great sadness in the region.
