Today, which is a holiday at Tiruvannamalai Annamalaiyar Temple, many devotees are waiting in long queues and doing darshan after 3 hours. Thiruvannamalai Annamalaiyar Temple is visited by many devotees during the holidays. At present, the number of pilgrims has increased as the schools have been given a holiday for the quarterly examinations.
Accordingly, devotees are pouring in on Saturday and today on Sunday. As usual, Gopooja was opened at 4 am today. Following this, Annamalaiyar and Ninnamulaiyamman were specially abhishekam and decorated and Maha Deeparathan was held. Later, devotees were allowed for darshan from 5 o’clock.
As soon as the early morning walk opened, the darshan queue was full of people.
After 7 am, the number of devotees gradually increased. So, I had to wait in line for about 3 hours to have darshan. The darshan line extended beyond the Rajagopuram. Not only the public darshan queue, but also the ₹50 fee darshan queue was crowded, leading to 2 hours of waiting in the queue.
