Train fare concession for senior citizens .. Central Minister’s ‘scornful’ response .. S. Venkatesan condemned

CHENNAI: Madurai MP Su Venkatesan has accused the railway minister of responding brutally to the demand for train fare concession for senior citizens.While fare concession was being given to senior citizens in trains, this concession was stopped in March 2020. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said that this tariff concession has been stopped to compensate the losses incurred by the railway administration during the corona epidemic.
