Earthquake in New Zealand
An earthquake struck New Zealand’s South Island at around 5:00 am today. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 13 km under the sea in the South Island. The earthquake was recorded as 6.8 on the Richter scale. People said that houses suddenly shook and things in the house vibrated, causing them to run out of their homes in fear. Some said that birds were making a lot of noise. This has caused panic among people.
