Karaikudi police removed the statue of Periyar near the house of H. Raja!

Sivaganga: There has been a commotion as the revenue department and the police have removed the bust of Father Periyar erected inside the perimeter wall of a new house built by a member of the Dravida Vimithya Kazhagam near the house of senior BJP leader H. Raja. Condemning this, Periyarists raised slogans on the spot.
