Indore: In Madhya Pradesh, the state government has punished a government school teacher who participated in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Congress party has strongly condemned this.

Pilgrimage in Madhya Pradesh Rahul Gandhi started the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari on September 7. This Yatra is going to take place for 150 days through 12 states and 2 union territories. Currently, the pilgrimage has crossed Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra and reached Madhya Pradesh. Growing support Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is seen as important for the Congress party as the Madhya Pradesh elections are to be held next year. Due to this, prominent leaders including former Madhya Pradesh Chief Ministers Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath participated. Every day many volunteers are meeting Rahul Gandhi and expressing their support. The party leaders and volunteers are excited by this. It was in this context that Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra took place on the 25th of last month in Parwani district.

Government school teacher participation Rajesh Kanoji, a teacher at a government primary school run by the Tribal Affairs Department in Kanasia region, participated in the yatra. Pictures related to this were published on the websites. This sparked controversy. Complaints were made against him to the department officials. Allegations were made that he was involved in party matters while working in a government school. It was said that action may be taken against Rajoz Kanoji due to this.

Regarding this, Tribal Affairs Assistant Commissioner NS Raghuvansi said, “Teacher Rajesh had asked for leave saying he had important work. But Rajesh has participated in the political procession in violation of the code of conduct. He has been suspended due to this,” he said.

Congress Review Meanwhile, the Congress has strongly condemned this move. State Congress media wing chief KK Misra tweeted, “The BJP ruling Madhya Pradesh led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has allowed government employees to participate in RSS programmes. But Rajesh Kanoj, a tribal, has been suspended on the grounds that he participated in the Congress Yatra,” he alleged.
